From humble beginnings on London’s Portobello Road Market in 2007, Pipetto has become one of the leading brands for premium, functional and design lead iPhone & iPad cases in the global market. Below are some of the highlights from the journey of growing from a small market stall in London, into a brand with products available in over 36 countries, more than 700 retail stores and counting...

In 2007, Pipetto was founded at Portobello Market, in London’s Notting Hill. Design er and founder, Chantal Therien, handcrafted a range of glamorous Mens a nd Womens western belts, each using vintage artefacts and ornate metal buckles to create one-off pieces. In late 2007, the small brand launched online, photographing friends to model the handmade belts and word-of- mouth to build up a small following.

After seeing the brand online, ready-to-wear label Rodnik approached Chantal to design a commissioned a range of accessories for their 2009 S/S Collection, to be sho wn at Rodnik’s London, New York and Milan fashion week run way shows. The high-profile runway shows, attended by the likes of Italian Vogue, saw the commissioned range land in the September’s Vogue coverage, cover of the London Paper, InStyle and a number of others.

HARVEY NICHOLS
COLLABORATION

After establishing a UK distribution channel made the products more well known, fam ous UK fashion retailer Harvey Nichols approached us to launch a collaboration of limited-edition capsule collection of iPhone and iPod accessories. The collaboration was the first co-branded collaboration to hit mai nstream retail, and quickly sold out in store, helping to solidify Pipetto’s place as a fashion technology brand in the UK.

EXCLUSIVELY FOR APPLE

Pipetto launched its first “Designed for Apple” collection, in collaboration with Apple Europe. The range of 10x iPhone accessories and 9x MacBook Sleeves sat in the top tier of Apple’s premium accessories and was one of the top-selling collections across online and in-store in Europe. As 1 of 7 exclusive brands to design in collaboration with and exclusively for Apple Europe, Pipetto’s accessories became available in Apple in over 20 countries.

ORIGAMI LAUNCH &
EXPANSION INTO BENELUX

With a successful iPhone range, we turned our sights to iPad — and creating a functional, affordable, premium solution for iPad users. Thus was t he birth of the “Origami Case”, which has since become synonymous with t he brand and gone on to become our #1 selling rockstar product.

LAUNCH IN THE MIDDLE EAST

With a best-selling range of new products, we set our sights on expanding our distr ibution outside of Europe. Partnering with a distributor in the Middle East, we worked together to expanded into retailers in Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Lebanon and Bahrain

LAUNCH IN SWEDEN
& ICELAND

With products sold now over 5x what they were 24 months earlier, we spent quite a lot of time in 2015 fine-tuning our systems, manufacturing processes and growing our team. We also started undertaking preparations for one of the biggest product ranges we had ever launched - a range of new iPhone inter-changable accessories. We also found a bit of time to add a few new countries to our map of retail partners!

LAUNCH INTER-CHANGABLE
MAGNETIC IPHONE RANGE AND
EXPANSION INTO RUSSIA

With the launch of our revolutionary new inter-changable magnetic range of iPhone cases, combining the ultimate in functionality and fashion, we saw our unit sales nearly double — from all years before combined! As the same time, our new product range helped us partner with reStore to launch in nearly 100 new stores in Russia.

HALF A MILLION UNITS
SOLD WORLDWIDE

In 2017 we saw the launch of new retail partners in Taiwan, Ukraine, South Africa, Czech, Latvia, Iran, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Andorra which meant we surpassed our first half-million products sold worldwide in 2017! With a total of 34 countries and over 650 stores stocking our products worldwide, we are excited to continue growing our distribution and retail partners as we ll as our range of products in 2018!
